More Details

The captain has the engines idling by seven, and the crew is already loading iced towels and fresh fruit aboard before the sun has fully cleared the hills above Ao Po. From here, the run out to Koh Kai and Koh Naka Yai takes under half an hour, past fishing longtails and limestone outcrops still wearing their morning shadow. This is the water the Nimbus T11 was built for: short hops between postcard anchorages, engines off, nothing on the agenda but the tide.

The sandbar between Koh Kai Nok and Koh Kai Nai is one of the few places in the Andaman where the seabed rises to meet the surface in a straight, walkable ribbon of white sand, flanked on both sides by water so clear it barely photographs as water at all. Guests wade off the swim platform straight onto it. Naka Yai, a short cruise further north, trades the sandbar for a fringing reef and a slower, more private cove where the crew typically anchors for a long lunch. Timed well, the return leg catches the late-afternoon light low over Phang Nga's outer islands, which is usually when the cameras come out.

Nimbus built the T11 as a dedicated day boat, and it shows in details that matter more than they sound. At 11.88 meters, the walk-around deck lets every guest move fore to aft without stepping over anyone, while the convertible lounge shifts from forward-facing cruising seats to a full dining and sunbathing layout in a few minutes. A bar counter and dual sun-pads anchor the social space, and stowage below the seating swallows paddleboards, snorkel gear and dry bags without cluttering the deck. Below, a double berth forward and a second berth under the helm mean the boat can convert to an overnight charter for up to four, with an enclosed head and shower aboard. It is Scandinavian design in the practical sense: built for the boat to work harder so the day doesn't have to.

Goodman Brokers runs the T11 across a wider stretch of the Andaman for guests who want more distance in a day. The Krabi Four Islands route trades sandbars for karst cliffs and shallow lagoons; Phang Nga Bay adds the limestone towers and hidden bays made famous well beyond Thailand; Phi Phi and the Racha Islands, both further south, suit guests staying multiple nights who want a longer run with more open water in between. Each can be booked as a single day out or extended into an overnight, with the crew adjusting anchorages for weather, tide and the season's light.

Both formats run with the same captain and crew throughout, and the itinerary can be built around a guest list of any size the boat comfortably carries, from a couple wanting a quiet sandbar afternoon to a full group booking out the boat for a celebration. Overnight charters typically pair one of the further routes with an early departure the next morning, so the return to Phuket isn't rushed.
